Our History

A venture.

Celantel S.r.l. was born in 2000 as a dream of Enzo Celant but, especially, as a bet started over forty years ago, focusing on the passive air conditioning of telecommunications equipment housings.

Passive air conditioning, in particular, consists of ensuring the internal temperature for the correct functioning of the electrical and electronic equipment without any air conditioners or other energy-consuming devices.

Since its establishment, the Company has a manual that contains records of its experiential heritage: the “Intellectual Hand”.

Along all this uninterrupted path, innovative and completely new formulations have been introduced leading to the completion of the most challenging projects i.e BAM Project (URSS) consisting of  No. 64 Tlc stations in arctic environment, from -55 to +40°C, powered by turbogenerators all along the new trans-Siberian railway from the Baikal lake to the Japan sea.

Another important project was the Ford one: No. 37 solar-powered stations with passive shelters supporting a military TLC network along the southern borders of Morocco.

With over twenty years of activity, then, the application of Celantel’s passive formulations has been extended to other fields i.e Oil & Gas, Railways, Motorways, Airports, Food, etc. so to be advantaged from them.

The idea of passive shelter

Devices able to control the temperature without any energy consumption and maintenance.

The idea for this invention arose during the 70’s, from the staff of Mr. Celant in Telettra, to face the need to provide to  remote telecommunication stations air conditioning systems without any extra electrical power in addition to the one of the equipment.
This brought to the development and the realization of devices, integrated to the shelter, able to transfer outside the heat generated inside the equipment housing, without any energy consumption and maintenance but granting and increasing the whole reliability.
Following this, Celantel has developed and implemented projects that allowed to increase their performances and their ease use, with a consequent impact on the costs and the application fields range.

Passivo1
  • No energy consumption, necessary for the air conditioning, (or highly reduced).
Passivo2
  • Considerable increase of the global reliability due to the absence of mechanical moving parts and fluids under pressure. No maintenance required thanks to the sealed and “elastic” hydraulic circuit, refills free.
Passivo3
  • The devices are housed in a room without a direct air inlet and a temperature control without sudden changes.
